Our Heritage
India is the only country in the world with an unbroken, living vibrant tradition of crafts. India is glorious in ancient crafts, traditions and their manifestations are represented in the various handicrafts of different states in India from Kashmir to Kerala and from Rajasthan to Orissa.
The craft of each state in India reflect the influence of different empires and have been valued throughout time, their existence today proves the efforts put into their preservation. The craft traditions of India have withstood the depredation of time and several foreign invasions and continue to flourish till date.
What we do
Artisan Training
- Training Artisans with innovative Designs at their clusters.
- Detailing and quality to meet international standards
- Train tribal men and women in their Art and Craft , bring out and sharpen their talent.
Assistance
- Support traditional Handicrafts and Handlooms.
- To participate national and international exhibitions.
Design Development
- The Foundation Designers train the Artisans with new designs considering the trend and Utility, combination of material, craft, and detailing.
Research
- Special study in rural toys and games and revive the same.
- Design and Development of Rural technology.
- Energy saving .
- Revive extinguishing arts and Crafts
- Study of Ergonomics in crafts sector.
Training Children
- Enhance creativity in children by training them in Arts and Crafts.
- Introduce traditional Arts and Crafts at younger age –in schools, ‘Basti’ and community.
- Introducing projects on Science behind in crafts.
Internship
- The foundation encourages design students for internship in the foundation to work on Handicrafts, handlooms and Rural Technology.
Marketing
- Craft kuteer, an out let of Diva Design Foundation, situated at First floor FF23, Tourism Plaza, Greenlands, Begumprt, Hyderabad is a platform for Artisans and public, where designed and exclusive crafts are on display/for sale and the Foundation helps in marketing.
Tribal Arts & Crafts
- We promote tribal Arts & crafts and train the Artisans with New Designs and enhance their skill.
Rural Technology
- The Founder Trustees and other members are Architects and Industrial Designers , continuously work on Design projects in the Interest and benefit of society and Rural areas.
Ethnic Interior Projects
- The Foundation take up exclusive ethnic interior projects, Utilizing the skills of Artisans of different relevant crafts.
What We Do
Artisanan Training
• Training artisans with new designs and technology to meet International standards. • Train the tribal men and women in tribal art and craft with modern techniques and redesign the craft items. • Redesign of rural toys and bringing them into the limelight for the benefit of the artisans and community at large.
Assistance
• Support traditional handicrafts and Handloom. • To participate in International/National Exhibitions along with Artisan.
Research
• A special study and research in ergonomics related to handicrafts, handlooms, and redesigning the tools and machinery for Handicrafts and Rural Sector. • Research, design, and development of Rural Technology. • Research in Water and Energy Saving Techniques.
Training Children
• Enhance creativity in Children by training them in art and craft • Introduce traditional Arts and crafts at a younger age • Introduce extinguishing arts & crafts in Schools to make them survive/revival. • Teach the science behind in Handicrafts.
Internship
• We encourage design students from premium institutions to intern in Crafts and Handlooms at our foundation. Some of the products in the Gallery are designed by Internees and developed at Clusters.
PROMOTE
Help us promote our products and our foundation. It not only helps our artisans become wage earners, but also spreads awareness about the traditional crafts of the country.
